Prior Years In The Community Highlights
- Toys for Tots Drive: While 2020 was quite a year for businesses and individuals all around, that didn’t stop Miller's Services’s from giving back to the community when they needed it most. During November and December, Miller's Services collected unused and unopened toys as part of the Toys for Tots drive. Their office served as a drop box location for employees, customers, and the community to bring in toys for children who may not otherwise have a special Christmas.

GMHS takes in animals from Gloucester and Mathews, with the hopes of adopting them out to new families. Our donation helped to provide medical care and food for several types of animals.
- Customer Donations to The Giving Garden Foundation Matched by Miller's Services: In October of 2019, we encouraged our customers to make donations to the Giving Garden Foundation. At the end of the month, our team matched the total donation amount, for a total donation amount of $1,600. The Giving Garden Foundation cultivates advocacy for cancer patients residing in Gloucester and Mathews.
- G.U.E.S.T. Program HVAC Donation: In November of 2019, Miller's Services donated full HVAC equipment to the G.U.E.S.T. Program. The Program is a coalition of churches that work together to provide shelter and food for the homeless during the winter months. One of their shelter locations was without proper heating and would have been forced to shut down, until Miller's Services stepped in. As a team, we love giving back in a big way! We always look forward to what each new year brings to our community, our family, and our team, and we are always so grateful to give back.
- 2019’s Shop With A Cop: Owners Jamie and Ashley Miller stopped by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office to find out how they could help with 2019’s Shop With A Cop program. Each year, the GCSO hosts Shop With A Cop, a one-day shopping event where children from less fortunate families are paired with a local cop to take a shopping trip at the Gloucester Walmart and pick out gifts that they might otherwise not have. This year, Miller's Services donated $3,500 to the cause to make sure our local children got the Christmas they deserved. Much of the team also volunteered on the day of to wrap gifts, assist the cops, parents, and children, and be involved in the program.

- Holiday Toy Drive: In December of 2017, we began our most successful community donation effort, which we continued in 2018. The holidays can be difficult for some families, and children do not always have the opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas. We decided to change that! Our team collects nominations for families in need of Christmas gifts. We reach out to the families to get to know the types of things their children would be interested in, and then we go shopping!
